1. How many people?
2. How do you plan how much to make?
3. How did you organize them?
4. Did you have to hire some vessels (for cooking / for laying on table)?
Could you pls do a post on that. Even feeding 6-7 people is sometimes a nightmare for me. I’ll probably thank you for the rest of my life
Sands: Sowmya, I promise to post the answers and my experience/thoughts soon!
Wow! I salute your dedication to do this every year Sands! It is nice that you are able to have a bhagavati sevai in your neck of the woods. Here it is hardly heard of My brother in bangalore conducts this poojai at home every aadi month.
Food looks yum! What all did you make?
Oh the house looks awesome! Love the huge plate on the wall and the various nooks and the stuff..and okay okay..love everything
Sands: Thanks. I am indeed fortunate to have a priest who does a wonderful job with the puja. A friend of mine here tells me her parents do it in India regularly too in Mumbai. I personally had never heard of this puja till I started doing it
The OH & I look each day for little things to add to the house that makes it more cozy and to our taste. Thanks for noticing & commenting on a few of those
Very pretty! The rangoli is lovely…bright and cheerful colours…
NAvratri is one festival that I like too…there’s a lot more to it than just the pooja and the eating…
Sands: Thanks! The priest did the rangoli so all credit goes to him I totally agree with you on Nvarathri. It is a lovely festival indeed.
Wow’ing at everything, Sands but you know what gives your hostess skills and expertise away the most — the chaffing dishes! … and wishing you a very Happy Deepavali.
Sands: AJ, true hostess skills and expetise would be having the real stainless steel chaffing dish no, instead of the disposable aluminum foils ones? Wishing you and your family a very happy diwali as well AJ!
